We present to you the nominee for the title of "people's motorcycle of Ukraine" - a model of a budget light enduro - GEON X-Road Light. To become popular in Ukraine, a motorcycle must be reliable, all-terrain and inexpensive. And taking into account today's realities, it is still budgetary in service and economical.
Without exception, the GEON brand has embodied all these qualities in a new model - GEON X-Road Light. And it doesn't matter which class a motorcycle belongs to, if it has the same set of qualities that are necessary for motorists in Ukraine.
Of course, a good motorcycle must have a reliable engine, comfortable ergonomics, and simple controls. The new representative from the X-road crossover family here has something to look out for.
It was based on the air-cooled 1-cylinder 4-stroke engine used on the GEON CR6 and TerraX-road models. At the same time, the indicators of power and torque are not at all small for this class. And the dosing of the power delivery is smooth and predictable. The engine has a simple layout - 2 valves and one camshaft. Of the pleasant "chips" - the presence of a balance shaft and a 6-speed gearbox.
A simple 4-stroke X-Road Light engine is powered by an unusual carburetor - here the GEON team made a special choice towards an advanced carburetor, taking into account the sports experience. The motor barely vibrates and runs very quietly. At idle, you can hardly hear it. It is easy and pleasant to use the checkpoint, the mechanism works well. This is due to the massive "run-in" of the node on older versions.
Real fuel consumption is approximately 2.3 liters per 100 kilometers. The exact value depends on the riding style, speed and terrain.
The GEON X-Road Light 250 chassis is presented in the form of a conventional steel frame, simple reliable suspensions: a telescopic fork and a monoshock absorber, front and rear disc brakes. Wheels 19 "front, 16 'rear. All hardware is made soundly and reliably.
Suspensions have modest travels compared to traditional enduro or cross-country vehicles, but they are significantly larger than those of classic road builders. In addition, the trick of the motorcycle is that it is lower - so this is quite logical.
In general, the model is a universal motorcycle for comfortable movement on any hard and not very surfaces from asphalt and dirt to forest and mountain trails and steppe plains. But, because of its potential, not for sands or swamps.
From a distance, the Light looks almost like a real enduro. Its dual-sporting purpose is given by its compact dimensions (1355 mm wheelbase), the nineteenth front wheel and a wide seat with a passenger step.
In general, "Light" is well prepared for daily trips "home-work-home". Despite the short wheelbase and the nineteenth front wheel, it stably keeps a straight line at its maximum 110 km / h. Tires perfectly digest fine gravel and dirt.
Alternatively, you can regularly ride this 250-ke to the dacha, fishing or just for a walk around the city's outskirts. Here, by the way, a solid trunk comes in handy. On the left side above the rear wheel is a small plastic tool box. Useful thing.
